Tanganyika “Tangy” Daniel joins AAA as Director of US Sports, Pathways and Partnerships, leading the organisation of athlete pathways, showcase events, and competitive fixtures across the United States for our student-athletes. A US Marine Corps veteran, bestselling author, award-winning documentary filmmaker, and international speaker, she brings a distinctive blend of operational precision, creative storytelling, and global sports strategy.
Tangy serves as Global Sports Initiative & World Cup Lead where she drives World Cup–aligned programming, partnerships, and economic-impact initiatives. She also hosted the Global Sports, Tech & Innovation Summit in Atlanta, further establishing her as a leading voice in sports strategy and community development. She authored the critically acclaimed Global Games: Fields of Opportunity Pouring From the World’s Most Lucrative Cup; has taught World Cup strategy at universities including Morehouse College; and has advised PRSA members on leveraging major tournaments for branding, media, and growth.
Hands-on and community-focused, Tangy has organised veteran golf tournaments to connect service members through sport and hosted the Women in Sports Business Breakfast with support from the U.S. Soccer Federation. Her partnerships with Graffiti Stadium and Soccer in the Streets integrate art and football to expand youth opportunity and expression. An alum of the Art Institute of Washington and a National Certified Firearms Instructor who has competed nationally, she exemplifies discipline, resilience, and leadership.
At AAA, Tangy will coordinate US scheduling and logistics; develop collegiate, club, and host-city relationships; plan combines, showcases, and tours; and ensure smooth pathway progression from school placements to competitive play. Her forward-looking lens on emerging sports and markets—including pickleball, chess, gaming, and more—strengthens AAA’s ability to create future-ready opportunities for student-athletes
