Dr Nzingha Samuel

Senior U.S. Admissions Advisor

Dr. Samuel is an educational strategist, school founder, and admissions expert with 20+ years of experience guiding K–12 students, families, and international learners into selective private schools and highly competitive colleges and universities worldwide. At AAA, she delivers a student-first, data-informed admissions journey—from academic planning and testing strategy to school list building, essay development, interview preparation, and scholarship guidance—so students can thrive in the classroom, in competition, and beyond.

Dr Samuel founded and leads BSEI, a pioneering virtual K–12 school she has owned for over 15 years. She authored the original curriculum, graduated multiple cohorts, and supported acceptances to institutions including the University of Essex and leading U.S. and international schools. As a college professor for more than 15 years and an educational consultant to districts across the United States, she has co-designed bridge programs, literacy initiatives, and leadership training that expand access for underrepresented and international students.

Her global track record includes living in Tianjin, China, where she prepared students in Tianjin and Beijing for private-school admissions and English mastery, and authored a book-bridge curriculum linking University College London with the Beijing municipal government. She maintained close relationships with students and families from that period, continuing advisory support across milestones. She also taught and supported students at Korean schools in China, preparing them for the ACT and SAT and coaching cultural readiness and personal presentation for success in American higher education. Her testing and readiness approach is informed by training from the College Board.

Dr Samuel’s international perspective extends to a Fulbright-Hays fellowship in Bahia, Brazil, focused on culture and education, and extensive work with school systems in Ghana, West Africa, connecting students to schools and colleges in the U.S. and U.K.

Dr. Samuel earned her Doctorate in Education in Educational Administration, concentrating on alternative models of learning for the next generation. Her dissertation advanced innovative, culturally grounded learning design that blends global best practices, technology integration, and student-led inquiry. Recognized for her forward-thinking use of education technology, she applies modern tools and platforms to increase access, personalize learning, and elevate outcomes for students worldwide.

At AAA, Dr Samuel integrates her global expertise with our mission-driven framework: aligning academic rigor with each student’s goals, clarifying timelines and KPIs, and translating complex U.S. and international admissions and scholarship processes into clear, actionable steps. Her mission is simple—empower students and families to reach right-fit schools and programs, thrive on campus and on the field, and succeed well beyond graduation.
