Mr Danny Lennon
Technical Director and Director of Player Pathways
Danny Lennon joins AAA as Technical Director and Director of Player Pathways, bringing a distinguished record in player development and elite performance. A former professional with spells at Hibernian, Raith Rovers—where he scored against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup—Partick Thistle, and others, he also earned four caps for Northern Ireland. As a manager, Danny has consistently elevated teams and talent. He guided Cowdenbeath to back-to-back promotions, led St Mirren to their first Scottish League Cup triumph in 2013, won the Championship play-offs with Alloa Athletic, and secured promotion to League One with Clyde. His international experience includes a winning spell in charge of Scotland’s Under-21s national team, highlighted by a victory over Hungary.
Throughout his career, Danny’s hallmark has been developing young players and building clear pathways from academy to first team and beyond. He has helped nurture footballers who progressed to international level and competed on the biggest stages. Danny’s coaching abroad deepened his appreciation of Asian cultures and informed a holistic philosophy that balances technical excellence, tactical intelligence, and character development. At AAA, he will lead our technical strategy, co-design our proprietary regular and elite football curriculum, and oversee end-to-end player pathways—from identification and coach education to progression and placement—ensuring our programme standards and ethos are delivered with consistency and impact.
